Day-by-day itinerary

   Day 1Casablanca – Rabat

   On arrival at Casablanca airport we visit the Hassan II Mosque and the Corniche, then drive to Rabat, the capital, for the night.

   Day 2Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

   After the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas, we visit Meknes with the Bab Mansour gate, the Sahrij Souani basin and the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, then the Roman ruins of Volubilis and their mosaics, arriving in Fes in the late afternoon.

   Day 3Fes

   A full day in the oldest city of Morocco: the royal palace gate, the Mellah, the Al Quaraouiyine university, the tanneries, the Attarine madrasa and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, followed by a tile cooperative and a panoramic view of the medina.

   Day 4Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

   Through Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou, the largest in Morocco and home to Barbary macaques, we cross the Middle Atlas and the Ziz Gorge. After lunch in Errachidia, we follow the Ziz Valley to Merzouga, where you are welcomed with mint tea.

   Day 5Merzouga and the camel trek

   You visit the Gnawa musicians, Lake Merzouga and a nomad craft shop. After that, in the afternoon you ride a camel into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and spend the night in a luxury Berber camp.

   Day 6Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

   After the sunrise, you ride back to Merzouga and drive through Rissani and Tinghir to the Todra Gorge for lunch, then to the Dades Valley and its Monkey Fingers rock formations.

   Day 7Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate

   Along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs we visit nomad families in their caves, Kalaat M'Gouna, the town of roses, and the kasbah of Amridil in Skoura, before reaching Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa, where you can visit the film studios.

   Day 8Ait Ben Haddou – Imlil

   We visit Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous kasbah in Morocco, then cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass to Asni and Imlil, in the heart of the High Atlas.

   Day 9Aroumd and the Imlil valley

   A day to hike in the valley with views of Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, and to visit the Berber village of Aroumd.

10. 10

    Day 10Imlil – Tahannaout – Marrakech

    We drive through Tahannaout and the Moulay Brahim gorge to Marrakech, visit the Majorelle Garden and spend the evening on Jemaa el-Fna square.

    Day 11Marrakech

    A guided visit of the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef madrasa and the souks, with free time in the afternoon.

    Day 12Essaouira

    A day on the Atlantic coast: the Skala fortress, the port, the medina with its thuya wood craftsmen and the long sandy beach of the windy city.

    Day 13Free day in Marrakech

    Enjoy a hammam, the markets or simply the atmosphere of the city at your own pace.

14. 14

    Day 14Departure

    Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
