Student trips to Morocco from Barcelona

Spring break and study abroad trips from Barcelona to Marrakech and the Sahara, from €100.

Student Trips to Morocco from Barcelona

Our student trips to Morocco are built for study abroad students in Barcelona and US college groups on spring break or end-of-semester trips. Fly from Barcelona to Marrakech in about two and a half hours, and three days later you have slept in a Berber camp in the Sahara, ridden a camel over the Merzouga dunes and seen the Atlas Mountains. Shared desert tours start from €160 per person, so a weekend in Africa can cost less than a weekend in Paris.

Why choose our student trips to Morocco

We are a small local company run by Mustafa, Hassan and Karolina, organising trips since 2009. Students like us for simple reasons:

  • Budget prices: the 3 day desert tour from Marrakech costs €160 per person in a shared group, with hotel, desert camp, dinners, breakfasts and the camel trek included.
  • Fits a long weekend: leave Marrakech on Friday morning and be back on Sunday evening, in time for your Monday flight to Barcelona.
  • Safe and organised: licensed drivers, pickup from your riad or hostel, and one WhatsApp number to reach us 24/7.
  • Meet other travellers: our shared group tours in Morocco mix young travellers from the US, Europe and Latin America.

  3. Day 3 – Sahara night: Todra gorges, then a sunset camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes and a night with music around the fire in a desert camp.

Practical tips for students travelling to Morocco

  • Passport: US citizens do not need a visa for Morocco for stays up to 90 days; your passport must be valid for your whole stay.
  • Money: the currency is the Moroccan dirham (MAD); bring some cash, as the desert camps do not take cards.
  • What to wear: light clothes that cover shoulders and knees, plus a warm layer, because desert nights are cold. See our Sahara packing list.
  • Best time: spring (March to May) and autumn are ideal; read our month-by-month guide.
