Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
We leave Fes early in the morning and drive through Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco, and the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may see wild Barbary macaques. After that, the road continues through Midelt and the Ziz Valley to Merzouga. In the late afternoon you ride a camel into the dunes for the sunset and spend the night in a desert camp with dinner and Berber music.

Day 2Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Fes
Wake up for the sunrise over the dunes, ride back to Merzouga for breakfast and drive back to Fes through Erfoud, the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas, with stops for photos. Later, you arrive in Fes in the evening.
